Participating in Guangzhou Design Week 2023  was a great experience for us as newcomers. We’re thankful for the support and thrilled to have received the Kapok Design Award 2023 for our diamond-cut rattan vase.

The exhibition is a design collaboration with Studio Woork, our trusted graphic design partner since the first ideation of Sansi House including its branding. It was a highly rewarding experience to see our vision and ideas come to life through this collaboration.

We’re also thrilled to introduce our latest offerings from our designer collaboration projects. The unique ‘tujuh rupa’ mirror is created in partnership with Lex and Architects, an Indonesian-based design firm. Additionally, we present the exquisite Pandanus curved boxes designed in collaboration with Rebecca Cocks, a product designer based in the UK.

'TIGA NEGERI' PHILOSOPHY

Our exhibition theme is deeply rooted in the ‘Tiga Negeri’ philosophy. ‘Tiga’ means three. ‘Negeri’ means country. ‘Tiga Negeri’ means the amalgam of three traditions: Chinese, Indonesian and European.

We are inspired to reimagine a contemporary ‘Peranakan’ that weaves local Indonesian rich traditions and craftsmanship with European modern design simplicity, as well as Chinese vibrant aesthetics and festivities.
