Kapok Design Awards 2023: Product Design Winner
The Blue Rattan Vase won the Product Design Award for the Design Guangzhou exhibition 2023. Sansi House is very honored to have received this award and recognition.
The design is inspired by blue and white Chinese porcelain, which is a testament to cultural connections between China and the wider world. Our aim is to infuse this Chinese traditional influence with Indonesian local rattan material and exquisite craftsmanship. This fusion represents a beautiful blend of cultures, resulting in a truly distinctive and culturally significant design piece.

The “diamond-cut” motif, as the name suggests, celebrates the artful intricacy of the rattan. Meticulously woven by hand, the subtle geometric motif becomes an integral part of the vase’s character.
